Sorry but I got tired of WordPress and the whole look of it so I re-created a blog.
Thanks! I’m reaaaaally trying here to keep up with life and a blog. It never hurts to keep on trying, right?
I’ve been letting my camera sit around a little too much for my own good. When I got my DSLR I was thinking I would use it every day to take pretty pictures of my daily life and then post them here to show all of you. Unfortunately, that hasn’t really happened. So, as an incentive to expand my creative horizons, I have thought about starting the 365 starting November 1st. The premise is that you take one photo every day for 365 days.
Okay, usually I’m not good with these kinds of projects because I simply forget. However, I’m posting it here as an incentive and as a reminder so that I kind of feel the duty to do that. I would also like you to join me in this adventure. I plan to make a Tumblr to post all my photos (so that I don’t inundate the blog with photos) and possibly also post them on my Pinterest. During the next two days, I will be compiling a ‘shot’ list that I’m going to try to achieve by the end of the year.
Here’s my game plan: Think of it as a 30 day challenge, even a 7 day challenge if I can break it bit by bit because, woah, 365 days is a lot, right?
I’ll be sharing the Pinterest board, the Tumblr page, and the first photos really soon.
Do you want to join? Post a link on the comments with where I can find your 365 project. Let’s make this a collaborative project!
Newbury Street is the place to go in Boston for great shopping. It features a great array of high end and lower end stores so there’s definitely a place for everyone. It also features some of the best restaurants in Boston so, after a long day of shopping, you can sit back, relax, and eat a great meal.
Yesterday, I went with my friends (and roommates) to shop around and I took some photos with my new camera. I experimented a lot with focus, aperture, and other settings and it was fun knowing there was a picture or two that I really liked.
There was a farmer’s market going on and our original plan was to buy snacks for our dorm room but we got so sidetracked at American Apparel that we totally ended up forgetting about it. I was super impressed by the wonderful sunflowers that were in the backdrop. That’s my friend, Claudia, by the way.
That’s me trying to find a Bank of America on Google Maps. (Photo by Claudia. Shirt, Brandy Melville; Cardigan, Old Navy.)
We also enjoyed wonderful street music. These guys were amazing, playing Bruno Mars’s “Locked Out of Heaven” in a totally awesome jazzy tune. I just love how people can be so creative and unique.
I have been a bit absent for the past week but it’s all because I’ve been gearing up to move in back to my dorm in college. I wanted to leave you a quick note that I’m getting fueled up to bring you the bestest posts ever. I’m getting a new camera which means that I’m going to be doing a lot of photography posts and I hope that I will be able to bring you awesome quality content. So far, I’m settled into my dorm and I’m having fun just chilling until the school year actually starts. I’m going to be bringing you pictures of my dorm, decorating tips, and more! Stay tuned and don’t worry, I’ll be updating more often soon!
